March was a busy month for next-generation DVD format, with both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD's backers announcing their first batches of titles to be released this spring.
To start the ball rolling was Maple Pictures announcing that their hits Saw, Lord of War and Crash will be hitting shelves in Blu-Ray format on May 23. Shortly after other titles from Sony and beyond joined them, indluding The Terminator, XXX, Legends of the Fall, and our personal favorite of the bunch, The Fifth Element.
Not to be forgotten, HD-DVD followed suit with its own roster of hits courtesy of Warner Home Video. Recent blockbusters such Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Batman Begins have been early favourites in the quest for higher resolution, not to mention unforgettables The Matrix and Million Dollar Baby.
